Tactical Espionage Action

Game concept

Nearly two decades on and countless nuclear-equipped walking tanks destroyed, it remains a strange way to described the Metal Gear games. ‘Would War Aversion with Really long Conversations' would be more accurate' but slightly less marketable. This title of Metal Gear Solid is the next-generation adventure in the Metal Gear Solid Series. In this game, it shows Solid Snakes apparent old age. But the thing is that the game is set only a couple of years after the events of MGS2. With the stated theme of 'senses' and a tagline of 'No place to hide', plus the trailer depicting the series hero 'Solid Snake' caught between two opposing armies in an urban war zone, it's easy to assume Metal Gear Solid 4 is going to be more sneaking this time. But according to Hideo Kojima the 'No place to hide' merely refers to the environments that can change around Snake, forcing him to use stealth in many different ways. The concept of allies and enemies too is going to be a fluid one this time. Play fractions against one other, and adopt a nation's army uniform as an evolution of MGS3's camouflage system. It's suggested that there will an emphasis on things we can’t see, like the use of sounds as well as visual clues. Furthermore the concept of 'whoever controls the fear and controls the battlefield has been floated. It is shown in the trailer that PS3's power of being able to depict facial reactions which gets rid of the “!” Symbol to depict the enemies alert status. This game will make the Metal Gear Solid series one of the most remarkable game series in the gaming industry.
